Hotels and Resorts around the world have taken hard hit since the World Health Organization (WHO) declared the Coronavirus outbreak as a pandemic in March 2020. Now, as the pandemic continues, travellers are wondering about the safety of stays at hotels and resorts. Those who are itchy to travel are still at home, they aren’t sure whether travelling in this situation would be risky or safe.
In Odisha, after a long shutdown and followed by various unlock versions, the State Government has eased to re-open hospitality industries such as Travel Sectors, Hotels & Resorts, Motels, Restaurants, Gym & Yoga Centres with certain norms of SOPs. Major protocols include to keep Social distancing (1Mtr /6ft), contactless check-in and check-out, proper sanitization of rooms, lawns, wearing masks, thermal checkup of both staff & guests, use of sanitizers, and PPE kits, etc.
Hotel Swosti Grand near the railway station, Bhubaneswar now re-opens with a lot of precautionary measures to enhance safety and minimize risks for our guests and staff.
“Our motto is to mitigate the spread of the Coronavirus & making sure guests feel safe, comfortable, and relaxed.”
Cleaning and disinfecting protocols have been upgraded to reflect current guidelines.
Now the biggest challenge for us is to mitigate the spread of the coronavirus on our hotel premises and regular monitoring of actions taken by us on safety and hygiene.
Health and safety is the priority of our SOPs.
Staff Training:
All Team Members received additional training on COVID-19 safety and sanitization protocols, as well as more comprehensive training for our staffs with frequent guest contact including housekeeping, transport pilots, drivers, food & beverage, hotel operations, public areas, and security.
Cleaning & Disinfecting:
To ensure a complete safety & hygiene experience, we utilize dedicated staff to disinfect our hotel areas around the clock, including reception, electronic kiosks, dining tables, chairs, lawn areas, restaurants, convention halls, and suits.
Thermal Screening:
This process is mandatory for each of our hotel staff and guests. The temperature of each guest is being checked and recorded at the time of arrival at our Hotel.
Personal Protective Kits (PPE Kits):
Face masks are being worn by all our Hotel Staffs, which we provide, along with additional PPE based on role and responsibilities, and in adherence to state or local regulations and guidance. Masks are also provided for day guests, upon request.
Safety & Security:
A team of dedicated Security officers continue to offer services to the entire hotel. For any security-related issues, solutions are available 24 hours.
We Love to Care – with a deep sense of care and commitment for the individuality of guests, extra measures have been implemented at all our hotels to ensure the health and safety of all individuals.
