The current Coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak continues to spread, with growing numbers of confirmed cases in India. And the Coronavirus lockdown has severely affected the poor of India. Poor and destitute people, who have become completely dependent on Central or State Govt. aids. Many NGOs, Residential apartment societies, and kind-hearted people are distributing free meals, food packets and also helping the needy people in terms of money in many cities of India.
At the same time we, Swosti Group have also come forward and decided to help the poor and needy people by serving Free Food packets every day from the starting day of COVID-19 lockdown till today in various areas of Bhubaneswar, Odisha.
SOPs followed in Food Processing & Distribution:
As per the State & Central Government circulated SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures), Swosti Group has always followed the written practice and procedures on how we should take necessary steps in kitchen areas while processing food, such as proper sanitization and regular use of gloves & face masks (kitchen chefs & persons those are engaged in packaging the food boxes) to prepare safe & hygienic food.
Similarly, the Government has asked people to maintain a minimum distance of one metre while standing in a queue and take all precautionary measures. We have always been maintaining social distancing and using facial masks & hand gloves while distributing food packets to the needy and poor people.
Most of these meals have been provided to the homeless, daily wage labors living in slum areas of the city especially those who are dependent on their daily incomes and stranded migrant laborers during the lockdown.
Seeing the joy on people’s faces while serving food packets, encourages us to increase the number of daily packets. Every day we get so many positive reactions & blessings from people, which is creating a good atmosphere within our employees also.
