To spread the cheer and warmth of the festive season, the much-awaited Christmas Cake-mixing ceremony was celebrated at Hotel Swosti Premium, the 5-Star Hotel in Bhubaneswar. The so-called event; Cake Mixing is a ritual that follows a kind of process of putting the elaborate ingredients together, mixing them, and then waiting till the mixture is ready for baking and distributing to guests, friends, family, and relatives.
Though, it has its history as it marks the arrival of the harvest season. The stirring ceremony is part of an age-old Christmas tradition of cake mixing and making wishes for the New Year.
The fruit mixing ceremony was attended by the invited hotel staying guests, reputed clients from Bhubaneswar, and digital media partners and they were accompanied by Mr. Chiranjeev Mohanty (Director, Swosti Group of Hotels & Resorts), Mr. Devendra Sharma (General Manager, Hotel Swosti Premium) & Mr. Prashant Shee (Executive Chef, Swosti Premium) along with the Faculty fraternity & students of Swosti Education (SIMSS) participated in the joyous celebrations.
The fruits when soaked in liquor develop a rich and exciting flavor and are used to make tasty cakes and puddings. The cakes are believed to be endowed with magical powers. It is also believed that it is possible to make a wish with the first mouthful eaten and if the wish is kept a secret, it will be granted.
